Hi there, Im Sami. I’m so glad you came to check out my art! I’m a 22 year old character artist and illustrator from Los Angeles, CA. I’m a recent graduate from California College of the Artist with my BFA in animation. Some of my biggest accomplishments are creating a full-length short film inspired by my personal experience with body dysmorphia, getting a Merit-based scholarship into college, completing a CTN drawing program right after going through a major surgery and also graduating on time after going through a life changing mental health breakthrough.

A lot of the inspiration for my art comes from my personal experiences, but I’m super inspired by some of my favorite LQBTQ animated series. I’m a huge fan of Arcane, She Ra, and Steven Universe. One of my main illustration influences would have to be Jamie Hewl, illustrator for the band GORILLAZ, and I love youtube original animated series/music videos. My dream job would be working for a company who is super diverse, inclusive and is open to exploring mental health awareness further.
